The first weekend is September is a big one for our family. A time of reflection as Mum died on September 5 2011 and of course Father’s Day often falls around that time. This time last year, I was asked about inspiration and I wouldn’t be alone by citing my parents as a source of inspiration.
Some research discussed on ABC radio on Fathers Days 2021 spoke of the connection between female self-esteem and the connection created at a young age between daughters and their Dads. As the family surprise with five older school age siblings and a working mother, I spent a lot of time with Dad in my primary school age years.
I suspect this time was not only good for learning about farming but pretty good for my self-esteem.
